Flayosc and the var |

La Bastide du Ginesté is situated on the edge of the medieval village of Flayosc. An easy 15 minute stroll on footpaths away from the roads brings you to the heart of the village where you will also find plenty of free parking if you take the car! In Flayosc you will discover individual shops, bars and restaurants. The village is full of character and has an interesting church, shady squares with fountains and a weekly market (Mondays). |

Flayosc is almost exactly in the middle of the region of Provence, and all places can be reached within 1½ hours’ easy drive. The beaches of Frejus & St. Tropez are close by, as are the beaches around the lake at the end of the Gorges du Verdon - France’s Grand Canyon! There are dozens of unspoilt villages, each with their unique Provençal building style and colourful markets. World famous Cannes, Nice and even Monte Carlo are easily reached either by car or train from the nearby station, and we have a great assortment of maps and guide books to help you plan your days out and get the most from the region. In winter, there is alpine skiing within 1½ hours’ north, and of course the quieter months in spring and autumn are great for seeing all the sights without the heat or the crowds - especially along the azur blue coastline. |
