La Bastide du Ginesté is at the very heart of the Var—an administrative area of France and part of Provence, the region. Being inland from the hectic coastal towns which are great to visit for a change of pace and seaside activities, Flayosc offers are wealth of culture and calmer activities, and is not more than 1 hour from any part of the Var. Locally, there are all the shops and restaurants you could wish for, and within just a few kilometers you’ll find extensive wine domains and vineyards (Chateau de Berne for example) sleepy hilltop villages, fast flowing rivers, lakes and the famed - but little known - Gorges du Verdon. There are so many things to do: our guests have enjoyed Absailing, rock climbing, canoeing, canyoning, golf, walking, horse trekking, lake pedalos, glider flights, helicopter flights, coarse fishing, trotting races (Cagnes sur Mer) and are constantly telling us of things they do in the region! Alternatively, many guests just laze away their days around the pool, or visit a local market for provisions and then dine handsomely either in an apartment or in one of the many fine dining establishments nearby. We have reading books, DVD’s, guide books and tourist information available for all guests, and will be pleased to make reservations and offer ideas for your holiday time while here in La Bastide du Ginesté. |
